A celebration of life for the family and friends of Gerald “Chad” Joyner, 51, of Wills Point, TX, is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 6, 2020, at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point. Both masks and social distancing will be mandatory. Services are under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.
Chad Joyner passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020, in Fort Worth, TX, surrounded by his family.
Gerald Chadwick Joyner was born on March 27, 1969, in Grand Saline, TX. Chad was raised in Edgewood and graduated from Edgewood High School, Class of 1987. He later attended Tyler Junior College and E.M.T. school. In the year 2002, Chad became a father and Faith was certainly the apple of his eye. He was a plumber working for KM Plumbing for many years and for the last eleven years was employed by the Wills Point Independent School District. Chad loved the Lord and his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, softball, and golf and was the Dallas Cowboys’ biggest fan.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, BB and Dessie Hindman and Leola Joyner; uncle, Scotty Walker; and step-brother, Jay Miller.
Chad is survived by his parents, Glenda and Kelles Miller; father, Roger Joyner and wife, Janet of Edgewood, TX; daughter, Faith Joyner of Wills Point, TX; sister, Andie Kay Joyner and Rich Kidwell of Mineral Wells, TX; uncle, Donnie Hindman and wife, Cathy of Balch Springs, TX; aunt, Sharon Walker and Mickey Loewer of Petal, MS; half-sister, Jessica Joyner of Dallas, TX; half-brothers and sister, Monty Hackney, Dennis Hackney and Summer Hackney of Bonham, TX; step-sisters, Suzanne Blasingame and husband, Buddy of Wills Point, TX, Beverly Griffin and husband, Jack of Fate, TX, and Tammy Brown and husband, Buzzy of Wills Point, TX; step-brother, Chip Miller and wife, Julie of Wills Point, TX; along with many cousins and lots of friends.
