Funeral services for Gerald Don Clair, 84, of Lake Tawakoni, TX, are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Burial will follow at Haven of Memories in Canton.
Gerald passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 1, 2025.
He was born on March 30, 1941, in Wills Point, TX, to Daniel James Clair and Nynah Lucille Ross Clair. Gerald was raised in Wills Point and attended both Turner Hayden and Wills Point schools. In 1975, he married Lillian Clair, and the couple made their home in the Turner Hayden Community before later relocating to Rockwall. Lillian preceded him in death.
Gerald worked for Vista Wall Window & Door Factory, where he was employed in assembly for 33 years before retiring. In 2010, he moved to Lake Tawakoni to live with his close friends, Bronwyn and Ronald Gower. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and tending to his cattle.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Nynah Clair; his wife, Lillian Clair; and his brothers, James Clair and Charles Clair.
Gerald is survived by his close friends, whom he lovingly referred to as “the kids,” Bronwyn and Ronald Gower of Lake Tawakoni, TX; sisters-in-law, Rachel Clair of Edgewood, TX, and Patsy Clair of Wills Point, TX; as well as nieces and nephews: Connie Bernard, Danny Clair, Tammie Morgan, Jim Clair, Kevin Clair, and Amy Williams.
Visitation will be held from 6:00–8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.
