Georgie Lee Nelson

A gathering of family and friends for Georgie Lee Nelson, 84, of Forney, TX, is scheduled from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Georgie passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021.

She was a loving and devoted mother, caretaker and community servant as a military homemaker and spouse for over 20 years.  

In addition, she was employed by the Terrell Convalescent    Center as a certified nursing assistant for more than 30 years, where she tirelessly cared for and nurtured hundreds of patients ; always giving them a happy outlook and improving their quality of life.

She always put her family, friends and all she’s cared for above herself.  Those who were touched by her love and kindness will never forget her. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Vergie Curry; sisters, Maxine Lance, Arlene Fitzgerald, Opal Moore and Pearl Mace; brother, Leonard Curry.

Georgie is survived by her daughter, Linda Nelson and husband, Chuck of Greenville, TX; son, Randy Nelson and wife, Chongi of Bellvue, NE; daughter, Sherry Brewer and husband, Randall of Wills Point, TX; son, Michael Nelson of Wills Point, TX; sisters, Elouise Hinson and husband, Ed of Columbia, SC, Kay Mullenex and husband, Dale of Hagerstown, MD, and Diane Holsted and husband, Larry of Falling Waters, WV; brother, Franklin Curry of Durbin, WV; along with eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
