Gary entered heaven’s gates and into the arms of our Lord on February 13, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Gary was born in Pasadena, California, on October 23, 1953, but has been a long time resident of a Wills Point, Texas. He enjoyed a long career as a well-respected Optician having graduated from Opticians Institute in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He is preceded in death by his birth father, Joseph Frongello, and by his adoptive father, Leo Herzing. He is survived by his soul mate of 43 years, Cyndi Wright Herzing, and his beloved son, Adam Herzing; his mother, Jean Ardelle Herzing of Courdersport, Pennsylvania; sisters Bonnie Riffel of Mount Vernon, Missouri; Joeleane Stanard of Woodstock, Illinois; Julie Neefe of Mount Holly Springs, Pennsylvania; and brother, George Herzing of Austin, Pennsylvania, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Gary was devoted to his wife and son. He was also known for his compassion to people as well as animals, especially dogs. He was happiest at home, but he also enjoyed any opportunity to ride his motorcycle or to go deer hunting.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will take place on February 29, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., Calvary East Baptist Church, 1700 Stark Road, Seagoville, Texas, 75159.
