Memorial services for Frederick “Bud” Phillip Donovan, Jr., 78, of Edgewood, TX, are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
Bud passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at his home surrounded by family.
Bud was born on August 21, 1943, in Natchez, MS, to parents, Frederick Phillip Donovan, Sr. and Margarite Daniels Donovan. He was raised in Natchez where he attended high school. After school Bud enlisted in the United States Army for three years to serve his country. He married Dee Allen in Arkansas on October 13, 1986, they lived in Euless for seven years before making their home in Edgewood. Bud worked in sales for the packaging industry for most of his life. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing and loved listening to music.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Margarite Donovan; and a sister, Lilly Donovan.
Bud is survived by his wife, Dee Donovan of Edgewood, TX; sons, Christopher Donovan and wife, Leslie of Houston, TX, James Donovan and wife, Cindy of Ft. Worth, TX, and L.D. Strader and wife, Melissa of Grand Saline, TX; daughters, Angie Beeson and husband, Joel of Ft. Worth, TX, and Amy Martinez and husband, Peter of Ft. Worth, TX; brother, Charles Donovan of Grandbury, TX; sister, Catherine Saudi of Natchez, MS; along with twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
