Franklin Douglas Ruff passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021, in Grapevine, TX. No services are planned at this time.
Franklin Douglas Ruff was born on May 30, 1951, in Dallas, TX, to parents, William Franklin Ruff and Laura Margaret McGee. He was raised in Wills Point where he attended school. Doug later enlisted in the United States Army and served his country. He lived in Van Zandt County and had four children. Doug moved to Tool, TX eight years ago. He enjoyed guns, fast cars and was very proud of his 96 Mustang that he rebuilt.
He is preceded in death by four sisters.
Franklin is survived by his close friend, Kathy Sturrock of Tool, TX; sons, Michael Douglas Ruff of Tool, Christopher Patrick Ruff of Oklahoma and Dougie Ruff; brothers, Leroy “Lee” Ruff of Wills Point and James Patrick Ruff of Tool; sister, Rita and three grandchildren.
