Eutus Howeth Allen

Graveside services for Eutus Howeth Allen, 101, of Dallas, TX, are scheduled for 1:30 PM, Monday, October 4, 2021, at Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas. Services are under the direction of Hiett’s Lybrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Mr. Allen will lie in state on Monday from 9:00-11:00 AM for whomever would like to sign the register book.

Eutus passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021, at his home in Dallas.

Eutus Howeth Allen was born on January 24, 1920, in Bokchito, OK, to parents, Howeth Allen and Grace Louise Yeager Allen. He was raised on a farm as his family went through the Great Depression. Eutus and his family picked peaches and cotton and had family events. He was in the Civilian Conservation Corp. in New Mexico from the ages of 19-21 during the depression era. Eutus later moved to San Diego, CA and worked in construction. He then moved to Dallas, TX and was employed by PPG as a glass cutter for 38 years before retiring.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Howeth and Grace Allen; brother, Billy C. Allen.

Eutus lived for 101 years and is survived by his guardian, caretakers and friends.
