Ebula Vazquez

Services for Ebula Vazquez, 81, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Sunday, September 2, 2018, at St. Luke Catholic Church in Wills Point.  Burial will follow at White Rose Cemetery.  Services are under direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.

Ebula passed away August 30, 2018, in Rowlett.

Ebula Gomez was born March 7, 1937, in GTO, Mexico. She married Catarino Vazquez in Mexico in 1954. Her husband worked in the landscaping business for most of his life, moving to the United States as a young man. Ebula joined him here twenty one years ago and they moved to Wills Point with their children to make their home. She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed crocheting. Ebula loved music and loved to sing. She made many blankets, pillowcases and throws for her family over the years and continued to do so up until her passing. Ebula was a member of the St. Luke Catholic Church. She loved her family and was cherished by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo Gomez and Maria Moreno; husband, Catarino Vazquez; son, Eusebio Vazquez; daughters, Maria Vazquez, Claudia Vazquez and Yolanda Vazquez, a brother, Jinio Gomez and a sister, Amada Gomez.

Ebula is survived by her daughters, Maurilia Gomez and husband, Rafael, Carmen Hernandez and husband, Gil, Reyna Figueroa and husband, Martin and Celsa Figueroa and husband, Jerman; sons, J. Antonio Vazquez and wife, Margarita and Porfirio Vazquez and wife, Domitila and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Family visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Saturday, September 1, 2018, at St. Luke Catholic Church.
