Dwight Ray Robinson

Funeral services for Dwight Ray Robinson, 75, of Edgewood, TX, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Restoration Church in Eustace. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial will be held at Colony Church of Christ Cemetery in Alba. Services are under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.

Dwight passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022, at his home surrounded by loved ones.

Dwight Ray Robinson was born on November 6, 1947, in Galveston, TX, to parents Anthony Wayne Robinson and Bobbie Nell Edgar. He was raised in Pleasant Grove and graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School. Dwight later attended Wyndham College. He was employed as a tape and bed carpenter for Rusty Sherwood. Dwight married Peggy Bickel in Kentucky in 2019, and they made their home in Edgewood. He was a bull rider and enjoyed his horses, but most of all loved time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Bobbie Robinson; grandchild, Timothy Brandon Smith; brother, Quentin Mark Robinson (Bubbie); nephews, Jason and Josh Williams; aunt, Hazel Thomas; bonus mom, Alma McBride.

Dwight is survived by his wife, Peggy Robinson of Edgewood, TX; daughters, Jamie Rae Robinson and Christian Mills of Kaufman, TX, Cheryl Kay Holly and husband, Harvey of Kaufman, TX, Bobbie Jean Robinson of Evansville, IN, and Buffy Sundstrum and husband, David of Kemp, TX; step-sons, Ronnie Lynn Robinson, Jr. of Hugo, OK, and Terry Hunter, Jr. and wife, Crystal of Edgewood, TX; step-daughter, Kristin Spizzirri and husband, Tyson of Edgewood, TX; sisters, Teresa “Tinky” Robinson of Allen, TX, and Pamela Robinson of Mesquite, TX; grandchildren, Dakota Johnson, Tiffany Stanley, Paul Dewalt, Chernella Roberts, Lorenzo Holly, Rachel Dunn, Veronica Dunn, Weston Dunn, Jacob Baxter, Savannah Anderson, Haley Washburn, Hunter Sundstrum, Colton Sundstrum and Rylie Sundstrum; he was also survived by many great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
