Dorothy Dean Lang, age 98, passed peacefully at her home on April 26, 2026. She was born on March 13, 1928, in Cedar Gap, Texas. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Wm. Ernest and Florence (Osteen) Johnson; her husband, C. F. Lang; her son, Darrell Alan Spratlen; her granddaughter, Blenda Harden; her great-granddaughter, Addison Noblitt; and all of her siblings: Eugene, Homer, Lewis, William, Nellie Fay, Dessie, and Mildred Johnson.

Dorothy was a quiet and gentle woman who never sought attention. She was deeply devoted to her family, especially in her role as a caregiver for her daughter-a responsibility that gave her life purpose and strength. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, including puzzle books, jigsaw puzzles, and her daily cup of coffee. Through all of life’s trials, she remained strong and steadfast, never losing her determination or will to carry on.
Her love, perseverance, and quiet strength will be missed by all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point, Texas.
