A private graveside for Dorothy Lee Kelsey Salisbury, 95, of Wylie, TX, is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point. A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
Dorothy passed away on May 31, 2020, at the age of 95.
Dorothy Lee Kelsey was born on September 11, 1924, in Collin County, TX, to parents Willie Lee Kelsey and Vera Lee Hume Kelsey. Dorothy was a life-long member of the Eastern Star and a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Wylie. She married her high school sweetheart, Perry Randolph Salisbury in March of 1946. She worked at several banks, and retired from Army Airforce Exchange Service after twenty years in 1987. Dorothy loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she never missed a family event.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Perry R. Salisbury; parents, Willie Lee and Vera Lee Kelsey; sister, Ruby Ruth Field.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Perry Earl (Nick) Salisbury of Greenville, TX; daughter, Carol Ann Grammer and husband, Mike of Allen, TX; two granddaughters, Jamie Michelle Whatley and husband, Trey of Dallas, TX, and Kristy Carol Hardiman and husband, Aaron of Georgetown, TX; and four great grandchildren, Elle, Hobbs, Kayleigh and Kinsley.
