Funeral services for Dorotha Marie Houston, 92, of Edgewood, TX, are scheduled for 3:00 PM, Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Burial will follow at Haven of Memories in Canton.

Dorotha passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020, in Burleson.

Dorotha Marie Killingsworth was born on February 3, 1928, to parents, Thomas Alvin Killingsworth and Mary "Mollie" Elizabeth Carpenter Killingsworth. She was raised in the Denton and Dallas area and graduated from Adamson High School. Dorotha married Charles Alford Houston on January 16, 1954, in Dallas. She and Charles lived in the metroplex before moving to Edgewood to make their home in 1983, when Charles retired from LTV. Dorotha was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, playing piano, gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Edgewood.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and  Mollie Killingsworth; husband, Charles Houston; sister, Alvena Hutson.

Dorotha is survived by her son, Phil Houston of Dallas, TX; daughter, Monell Weatherly and husband, Mike of Itasca, TX; sister, Elena Low of Gun Barrel City, TX; grandchildren, Cymbre Kooker and husband, Justin of Elmo, TX, Pierce Weatherly and wife, Janelle of New Jersey, Choyce Weatherly and wife, Devan of Magnolia, TX, Connor Houston of Vicenza, Italy and Caitlin Smith of Canada; five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.
