Dianne LaRue Simmons was born on March 12, 1946, in Corpus Christi, TX, to parents, Glen Simmons and Lucile Pierson Simmons. She was raised as a Navy brat and attended thirteen different schools in twelve years. Dianne married Monty Snell in Arlington, TX, in 1991. She and Monty worked for the same company, TXI Concrete in Dallas, where Dianne worked in accounts payable. They later moved to Ben Wheeler in 2001, where she most enjoyed being outside and watching the birds and animals. She was employed by Trinity Industries in Tyler. In 2011, Dianne and Monty sold their property in Ben Wheeler and moved to Wills Point, where she loved to supervise her true love’s gardening while sitting with her cats on the porch. She was of the Baptist faith. Dianne and Monty enjoyed each other’s company greatly and loved spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Lucile Simmons.
Dianne is survived by her husband, Monty Snell of Wills Point, TX; daughters, Leah Gurley and husband, Billy of Florida, Teresa Richardson and husband, Jerry of Waxahachie, TX, Nicole Griffin and husband, Shane of Arlington, TX, Monica Jones and husband, Lee of Cordova, TN, and Amy Bart and husband, Chris of Springtown, TX; sisters, Carolinda Altier and husband, Jim of West Virginia, and Cynthia England of Grapevine, TX.; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
The family will plan private services for a later date.
