Danny William Gann

A memorial service for Danny William Gann, 78, of Wills Point is scheduled for Saturday, April 9, at 11am at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Danny passed away March 30, 2022 in Dallas, TX.

Danny William Gann was born June 2, 1943, in Mt. Pleasant, TX to parents William Rue Gann and Josephine Gary Gann.  At an early age the family moved to Terrell where they owned and operated Wright’s Motel.  He married Kathey Rohus on April 9, l962, in Canton.  They were parents of one daughter, Shanna. He was employed as manager of the parts department for Carrier Corporation until he retired due to ill health.  Danny was of Presbyterian faith.  He loved collecting gemstones and Elvis memorabilia. He had a sense of humor that could entertain for hours with stories that were made up as he told them.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Josephine Gann, sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Mark Malone.

Danny is survived by his daughter, Shanna Ivy and husband Tad, grandsons, Cambren and Brendan Ivy all of Wills Point.  Niece, Sharon Joshua and her son, Shane, and nephew Doug Malone, all of Lancaster.
