Memorial services for Daniel “Danny” Allen Telkamp, 62, of Van, TX, will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. The family asks that you please wear Purple and Gold to the services.
Danny passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, in Grand Saline.
Daniel Allen Telkamp was born on November 3, 1961, in Brookings, South Dakota, to parents Merlin Daniel Telkamp and Barbara Mae Clover Ulrich. He was raised in South Dakota and later his family moved to California where he graduated from Barstow High school. He moved to Tennessee prior to relocating to Texas. Danny married Vicky Riley in 2020. He and Vicky were High School Sweethearts’ and reunited 40 years later. Danny was a truck driver for the entirety of his career, most recently with Titan Transfer, Inc. He was of the Christian faith. Danny was an avid sports fan. GO Vikings!
He is preceded in death by his parents, Merlin Telkamp and Barbara Ulrich and brother, Douglas Telkamp.
Danny is survived by his wife, Vicky of Van, TX; sons, Dewayne (Jeanette) Telkamp of Oregon, D.J. (Naomi) Telkamp of Oregon, and Dylan Telkamp of Utah; daughters, Danielle Maxwell of Tennessee and Cassie Brazelton of Utah; brothers, Donald (Linda) Telkamp of Colorado and Dwight Telkamp of The Philippines; stepchildren, Leonard (Amber) Smith of Fruitvale, TX, Britnie (Anthony) Stoll of Lockport, NY, and Kamrin Martin of Van, TX; Step Father Lacy Ulrich & 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild. As well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
