Cliffette Lucretia Eads

A celebration of life for Cliffette Lucretia Eads, 74, of Ennis, TX, will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 26, 2024, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.  

Cliffette passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024, in Edgewood.

Cliffette Lucretia Mongold was born on May 1, 1949, in Amarillo, TX, to parents Clifford Elvis Mongold, Sr. and Wanda Lucretia Tarpley Mongold.  She later moved to Dallas and graduated from Crozier Tech High School. Cliffette married John Eads in 1982, in Garland. She was in insurance and financial services for the duration of her 44-year career for companies like Mutual of New York, Metlife and AIG. One of her most treasured accomplishments was becoming a vice president of AIG’s fortune 500 company with no college. She was a member of the Chamber of Commerce in Possum Kingdom Lake for years. Cliffette had a love for cooking and enjoyed gardening.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Eads; parents, Clifford and Wanda Mongold; two brothers and one grandchild.

Cliffette is survived by her daughters, Lynnette Spence and husband John, Jr. of Forney, TX, and Crystal Hunter and husband Terry, Jr. of Edgewood, TX; grandchildren, Morgan Phelps, Bailey Phelps, Jake Hunter, Lizzie Hunter, Grayson Hunter, Ashton hunter, Miley Spence, Caiti Spence and Ruby Spence; close friend and sister-in-law, Barbara Mongold; sister, Cuylene Clemmons; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
