Funeral services for Charles John Mills, Sr., 75, of Wills Point, are scheduled for   11:00 AM, Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.  Graveside will follow at Mills Cemetery in Garland at 2:00 PM.

Charles passed away February 20, 2019, in Wills Point, TX.

Charles John Arthur Mills, Sr. was born June 1, 1943, in Dallas, TX, to parents, Edgar Debbs Mills and Agnes Lee Nixon. He was raised in and attended school in Dallas. Charles married Glenda Arlene Crump on December 15, 1960, in Dallas and they made their home in Garland until moving to Wills Point in 1974. He retired from Kraft as a truck driver after twenty-six years. Charles was of the Assembly of God faith. He loved to fish and hunt, but loved his family the most.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Mills and Agnes Brashiers; wife, Glenda Mills; sister, Ruby Mills.

Charles is survived by his sons, Charles Mills, Jr. and wife, Iva of Wills Point, Clint Wayne Mills of Wills Point and Paul Daniel Mills of Dallas; brother, James Mills and wife, Patricia of Rowlett; sisters, Lois Rainey of Dallas and Jan Mills of Frankston; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, February 22, 2019, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
