Funeral services for Charles C. (Chuck) Dennis of Myrtle Springs will be held at Hiett’s Lybrand Funeral Home in Wills Point on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 12:00 p.m.  with Rev.Charles C. Dennis Jr. officiating.  Visitation will precede the service at 11:00 a.m. and interment will be at Rock Hill Cemetery, Wills Point.   Mr. Dennis passed away on September 23, 2022 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

 Charles Carlon Dennis, Sr. was born on January 24, 1935 in Reidsville, GA. to John Robert and Lizzie Dennis.  He was preceded in death by a baby daughter, Francine, aged 10 months, both parents, brothers,  Monroe, J.W., Ralph, Harvey and Frank  of Florida, and sisters,  Pearl Holley of Georgia. and Lucile Carmichael of Missouri and foster daughter, Elizabeth Keefe of Washington. He is survived by his wife, Marion Dennis of Myrtle Springs, and sister Vera Lane of Florida,  son Joel Baldwin Dennis and wife, Linda of Vancouver, WA., their three children, Cole, Luke and Joshua,  daughter, Darlene Veasey and husband, Joe of Myrtle Springs, their children, Amber and Audra Smith and Sean Veasey,  son Dustin Charles Dennis of Edgewood, and his wife, Courtney, and daughters, Summer, Breanna, Bailey, and Callie Dennis, son, Charles C. (Carl) Dennis Jr. and wife, Ruth, of Alaska, and their children, Aaron, Leah and Nathan,son Mark Monroe Wilson and his wife, Tannya and son, Mark, Jr. of Jacksonville, Fl., and daughter Talesa Lloyd and husband Glen, children Cass and Christian of Crystal River, Fl.

 Mr. Dennis moved to Wills Point and Myrtle Springs area from Alaska in 2005, having lived in Alaska for 30 years and helped build the oil pipeline from Prudhoe Bay to Valdez, AK.  He was a resident of Valdez for many years, and owned and operated Bayside R.V. Park for the final five of those years.  He loved to play his guitar and sing, and did so with his wife, Marion, as a country singer and then as a Gospel singer with their group, “Gloryroad Singers” before moving to Alaska.
