A private family celebration of life for Carolyn Gwen Polley, 75, of Terrell, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Monday, May 18, 2020, followed by a public gathering at the home of Cody and Amber Wampler, 605 VZCR 3412, Wills Point, TX, 75169.
Carolyn Gwen Polley was born September 22, 1944, in Terrell, to the late Cecil Eugene Triplett and Mary Emma Hunt McManus. She married William D. Polley, Jr. July 20, 1963. Gwen was employed as a bookkeeper for D & D Auto Parts for sixteen years. She also was employed as a title clerk for Star Chevrolet in Terrell and thirteen years for Sewell Motor Company in Dallas. She retired in 2007. Gwen was also very involved in theministry while Bill served as the pastor at Caney Creek Cowboy Church in Grand Saline.
She loved to cook and care for her fur babies, Luke and Lacy, but her greatest accomplishment was to be the best mother and Granny possible. She loved her family with all her heart.
Gwen is survived by her husband, Bill Polley of Terrell; son, Billy Polley and wife Lisa of Terrell; daughter, Cheryl Bodin and husband Paul of Lewisville; nine grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Frank Polley and wife Sissy of Oak Point, TX and many other relatives and friends.
