Candice Holmes Martini Obituary

Funeral services for Candice Holmes Martini are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Burial will follow at Oakland Memorial Park in Terrell.

Candice Marie Holmes Martini, 41, of Dallas, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on June 24, 2025.

Born in Dallas on June 20, 1984, Candice was the daughter of Scott Holmes and Kelli Melvin, and the stepdaughter of Angela Bardwell Holmes. She is survived by her husband, Vincent Martini, and her beloved sons: Christian Lee Fields (20) and Nathaniel Scott Fields (18), who were the center of her world.

Candice was the heart of every room she entered: spirited, sharp, and full of fire. She had a rare gift for making others feel truly seen and valued. Her wit could brighten any day, and her laughter was completely contagious. She was clever, caring, and fiercely protective of those she loved.

She was the “boss lady” in every sense—both in life and in her work. As the Office Manager at Brady Ingle Insurance Agency, Candice held everything together with grace, skill, and strength. She loved her work, her team, and the community she helped support every day.

Candice deeply cherished her family and was especially close with her siblings. She is survived by her sister Amber Cates and brother-in-law Richard Cates, sister Melissa Zaring and brother-in-law Tyler Zaring, and her brother Jason Holmes. She also leaves behind her nephews: Ayden, Noah, Ryker, and Henry. Candice joins her infant niece Jaylynn in peaceful rest. Two souls taken far too soon from the same family, leaving behind a shared sorrow that words can’t heal. She is also survived by numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, the Martini family and other family members and friends.

She found her peace in the water, whether she was swimming, boating, soaking in a hot tub, or simply unwinding in a long, quiet bath. Water was her calm, her reset, her place to breathe. She had a deep love for the little things that made life feel rich: getting lost in a good book, blasting bass-heavy music that shook the walls, and immersing herself in the twists and turns of true crime stories.

Her signature scent could change by the season thanks to her love for Bath & Body Works, and her candle collection could rival any boutique, filling her home with warmth, light, and comfort.

In lieu of flowers, donations to assist with funeral expenses are deeply appreciated and can be made at:

Candice’s passing leaves a space that can never be filled, but her spirit lives on in every laugh shared, every book opened, and every candle lit in her memory.
