A private family gathering for Brett Lee Haptonstall, 66, of Wills Point, TX, will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
Brett passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021, in Plano, TX.
Brett Lee Haptonstall was born on January 9, 1955, in Grand Saline, TX, to parents, Charles Leo Haptonstall and Eva Laverne Parkerson Haptonstall. He was raised in Grand Saline where he attended school. Brett married Betty Lou Busby on March 26, 1976, in Irving, TX. He and Betty lived in Irving for seven or eight years before moving to Wills Point in 1988, to make their home. Brett was an electrician for forty years and was employed by various companies. He was good with his hands and enjoyed tinkering with old cars.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Haptonstall; nephew, Brian Keith Miller; and uncle, Wesley Haptonstall.
Brett is survived by his wife, Betty Haptonstall of Wills Point, TX; mother, Eva Haptonstall of Grand Saline, TX; son, Brandon Haptonstall of Garland, TX; daughter, Brittany Deen and husband, Jeff of Plano, TX; brother, Jeff Haptonstall of California; sisters, Karen Taylor and husband, Joel of Tyler, TX, Deborah Comis and husband, Mark of Lindale, TX, and Laura Wages of Grand Saline, TX; grandchildren, Mason Hatch, Madison Rials and baby Deen on the way.
