Bobby Dan White, Sr., 92, of Wills Point, TX, passed away peacefully at his home on April 2, 2025. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Bobby lived a full life, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and integrity.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Dunbar Cemetery in Emory, TX. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service.
Bobby was born on September 1, 1932, in Tyler, TX, to George Fredrick White and Mattie Lou Martin White. He was raised in Garden Valley, TX, and graduated from Van High School. On September 22, 1951, he married the love of his life, Eva Evelyn Yancey, in Emory, TX. Together, they built a beautiful life, first in the DFW Metroplex and later in Wills Point, where they settled in 1967.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Bobby spent 18 years as a supervisor at Ford Motor Company before working 18 years as a truck driver for Central Freight Line, retiring in 1986. He was a man of faith and was a member of the Assembly of God church.
Bobby had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying farming, traveling, and working on Ford cars. He found joy in the simple things—family gatherings, time spent on the land, and sharing stories of his life experiences.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mattie Lou White; brothers, Billy White and Benny White; and sisters, Audrey White, Ruth Meazell, Georgia Morris, and Zura Shields.
Bobby is survived by his beloved wife of 74 and a half years, Evelyn White of Wills Point, TX; his children, Bobby Dan White, Jr. and wife Brigitte of Lawton, OK, Jerry Ann Pritchett and husband Arty of Combine, TX, Audry Phillips and husband Danny of Wills Point, TX, and Eva Tate and husband Trey of Wills Point, TX; as well as his cherished grandchildren: Bobby White III and wife Laura, Christina Lord, Jennifer Atkinson and wife Stacey, Duain Pritchett and wife Keri, Terry Pritchett and wife Debbie, Sheri Gore and husband Jason, Meghan Phillips and husband Roberto, Abbie Russell and husband Tyler, Chase Phillips and wife Keiry, LeAnna Ramos and husband Jose, Katelyn Oats, Cayli Timmons and husband Justice, and Cody Tate. He also leaves behind 36 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren, who will carry on his legacy of love and strength.
