Billy Ross Flowers, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and gifted musician, peacefully passed away on August 2, 2023, at his home in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 89. He was born on September 9, 1933, in Sherman, Texas, to the late Hiram Avery Flowers and Artelia McDaniels Flowers.

Billy's life was filled with love, music, and dedication to his family. On September 24, 1952, he married the love of his life, Norma Jean Graham, and they shared an inseparable bond for sixty-eight beautiful years until her passing.

As a talented musician, Billy's passion for the guitar led him to perform alongside legends like Tex Ritter and June Carter Cash at the prestigious Grand Ole Opry. However, he chose to prioritize his family and decided to retire from the music industry to raise his children with the same love and care he put into his music.

After retiring, Billy became an integral part of the Dallas community, working for many years at Young Chevrolet, where he earned the admiration and respect of his colleagues and customers.

Billy was a pillar of strength and wisdom for his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving daughters, Mickie Warwick and husband John of Balch Springs, Sheila Flowers of Seagoville, Glenda Flowers of Mesquite, Brenda Mask and husband Russell of Seagoville, Kristi Holt and husband Jimmy of Clifton, and Misty Sandoval and husband Adolfo of Mesquite.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Flowers; parents, Hiram and Artelia Flowers; son, Michael Wayne Flowers, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Jay Nichols, Robyn Nichols, and Stephanie Mask.

Billy's legacy lives on through his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with their doting grandfather.

During this time of grief, let us remember the joy and love Billy brought to our lives. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his family find solace in the beautiful memories they shared together.
