Billy Jay Adams, 59, of Dallas, passed away April 16, 2020. Services are under direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
Billy Jay Adams was born January 11, 1961, in Dallas, TX, to Benny Ray Adams and Ida Lois Pattillo Adams, and was a 1979 graduate of Skyline High School. He raised his son, Saxon in the Dallas area, where he lived most of his life. Billy worked as an electrician in the construction industry and repaired and sold appliances. He was very proud of both of his son’s accomplishments and loved to watch Saxon play basketball as well as bowling and other sports. Billy also enjoyed many past times, including the Dallas Cowboys, sports in general and playing stand the bottle at the State Fair of Texas.
He is preceded in death by his Parents a brothers, Bobby Ray Adams and Terry Glen Elliott.
Billy is survived by his son, Saxon Adams and wife Michaela of Wills Point; soul mate for over 30 years, Sherri Lynn Oldfield of Canton; step-son, Lindy Morris and wife Jessica Wilson of Canton; grand children who he loved very much, Haven and Lindyn Morris; cousin, Willie Miller Pattillo, III of Ada, OK; and many other relatives and friends.
