Beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 18, 2021, in Tyler, Texas.
Billie will forever be remembered by her family and friends as a woman with a huge heart, who deeply loved and served us so well. Besides being the best cook, unconditional love was her greatest gift.
Billie was a devout Christian who professed and leaned on her faith through everything. Romans 8:28 was her favorite verse and how fitting it is: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." (NIV)
Billie was a long standing member of First Baptist Church of Edgewood, where she also served as church secretary for the past 15 years. FBCE was by and large her extended family. She was adored by the people there and she loved them. A hole, no doubt will be felt there.
Born April 16, 1943, in Grand Saline, to the late Leb and Dorthy Butler of Grand Saline. Preceding her in death was her husband of 47 years, David Lee Turner of Edgewood, her brother, Bobby Butler of Grand Saline, and grandson, Morgan Turner.
Billie is survived by her son, Tracy Turner and wife, Audrey of Garden Valley, TX; son, Todd Turner and wife, Stacey Turner of Edgewood, TX; son, Brian Turner of Forney, TX; sister, Patsy Smith and husband, Glenn of Colorado; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in her honor at First Baptist Church of Edgewood, Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 2 o'clock.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Billie's name to the Hope Pregnancy Center in Canton, Texas, and Fatherheart: A home for mothers in Garden Valley, Texas.
