Funeral services for Bennie Frank Simpson, 81, of Grand Saline, will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, July22, 2023, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Bennie Frank Simpson was born on March 30, 1942, in Los Angeles, California, to the late Claud W. Simpson and Loyse C. Redd Simpson. He made his home in San Antonio in 1951 and later relocated to Fruitvale in 1964. Bennie was a past member of the Church of Christ in Fruitvale and had a life-changing moment when he gave his life to Christ on June 19, 1968. He was known for his strong faith and spent countless hours reading his Bible. Bennie was quick to quote scripture and found great comfort in his spiritual beliefs. He was quick witted and had a unique since of humor.
Throughout his life, Bennie worked as a house painter and machine operator. In his free time, he had a passion for collecting arrowheads, showcasing his fascination with history and archaeology. Additionally, he had a fondness for old movies and westerns, which brought joy to his leisure hours.
Bennie Frank Simpson is survived by his cousins, Nettagene Farragh, Glenda Stranathan, and Diane Haydon, as well as many other relatives and friends.
