Barbara Lynn (Kuykendall) Moore

Barbara Lynn Moore, 69, a beloved resident of Wills Point, TX, passed away peacefully at her home on May 9, 2024. Funeral services to honor her life will be held at 2:00 PM on May 14, 2024, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home, preceded by visitation starting at 1:00 PM.

Barbara, born on November 5, 1954, in Garland, TX, was the daughter of Jimmy Edward Kuykendall and Irma Evelyn Little Kuykendall. She grew up in the Dallas County area, where she formed lasting bonds with her three brothers, Charles, Jimmy and Kenneth and sister, Connie. On December 17, 1977, she exchanged vows with her beloved husband, James Moore, in a ceremony filled with love and joy.

Together, Barbara and James embarked on various ventures, including the ownership of Unique Cleaners in Terrell, where they worked side by side, building not just a business, but a legacy of hard work and perseverance. Following the sale of their business, Barbara found fulfillment in her role in accounting at Walmart, where she dedicated 25 years of her life before retiring in 2018.

In her leisure time, she enjoyed the thrill of bingo and gambling, finding joy in the excitement of each game. However, Barbara's greatest joy came from the time spent with her cherished family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Moore.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Matt Bennett and wife Shiree of Wills Point, TX, Chris Bennett and wife Kailey of Terrell, TX, and Phillip Moore of Wills Point, TX; brothers, Jimmy Kuykendall of Quinlan, TX, Charles Kuykendall of Lewisville, TX, and  Kenneth Kuykendall of Wills Point, TX; sister, Connie Kuykendall of Wills Point, TX; grandchildren, Cassidy Jones and husband Chris, Caden Bennett and wife Bailee, Coby Bennett, Justin Bennett and wife Amanda, Megan Bennett, Lauren Ramirez and husband Eddie, Mason Bennett, Aiden Bennett, Kirstyn Bennett and Madison Rickman and husband Aaron, Alyssa Cole, Caytee McCay and Luke Brummett; great grandchildren, Jaxson and Josie Jones, Khyree Thomas, Skylar Ramirez and Millie Rickman is on the way.
