Barbara Sue Miller passed away November 21, 2025, at the age of 76, in Paris, Texas.  Barbara was born in Monahans, Texas.  She was one of five daughters born to Edith Lorraine Hodgin Norton and Donald Ray Norton.

Barbara dedicated many years of service in the law enforcement community.  She served as a Jailer and Dispatcher in Rains County, Texas, and finished her career as a Correctional Officer at the Eden Detention Center in Eden, Texas.

Barbara loved the outdoors and spent many hours fishing Texas lakes and  hunting deer and turkey in the Texas Hill Country.  Her vibrant personality left a lasting impression on all who knew her.  She always enjoyed spending weekends with her sisters Lura, Doreena and Donna crocheting and getting makeovers.

Barbara and her sister Donna Norton Eason were both saved and baptized together during a revival in 1962 at a Missionary Baptist Church located in Midland, Texas.

She is survived by, her son Johnny Lutringer and his wife Tonya, of Santa Fe, TX ; daughter Tracy Lewis and her husband Perry Lewis, of Emory, Tx; and grandchildren Mark, Megan, Rachel, Tommy, Matt, James, Alynece, Wyatt, and Dalton.

Barbara also leaves behind 17 great grandchildren, 2 great-great  grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as her sisters, Donna Eason and Lura Arnold.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorraine and Donald Norton; husband Billy Don Miller; sisters, Sandra Elaine Norton and Doreena Kay Teague; and great grandson Samuel Olson.

Arrangements were made under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
