Barbara Ann Kuban

A celebration of life for Barbara Ann Kuban, 81, of Terrell, TX, is scheduled for 1:00 PM, Friday, September 27, 2024, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point, TX.

Barbara passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024. She was born on November 17, 1942, in Dike, TX, to Ides Montaz Burgin and Era Lucille Rasure Burgin. Raised in Dike, TX, where she attended school. Barbara married Lester Lewis Swift and together they raised four children. Lester preceded Barbara in death in 1968. She then married John Payne and he preceded her in death in 1994. Barbara later married Mike Kuban, who passed away in 2006. Barbara enjoyed the outdoors, particularly fishing and boating, and owned a lake lot on Club Lake in Terrell.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Edward Swift, and grandson, Lester Swift.

She is survived by her son, Danny Swift of Terrell, TX; daughters, Kathy McBride and husband Alfred of Longview, TX, and Cynthia Hayrat and husband Abol of McKinney, TX; her brother, Charles Burgin and wife Carol of Wills Point, TX; and her grandchildren, Kasie Sparncino, Kayla McBride, Jonathan Hayrat, Charlene Hayrat and Chelsea Hayrat, along with numerous great-grandchildren.
