Barbara Lucille Forsyth

Memorial services for Barbara Lucille Forsyth, 76, of Canton, are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at Cheatham Memorial United Methodist Church in Edgewood. Services are under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.

Barbara passed away Friday, May 31, 2019, in Tyler, TX.

Barbara Lucille Quillin was born April 21, 1943, in Brownwood, TX, to parents, C.G. Quillin and Flora Shrum Quillin. She was raised in Garland and graduated from Garland High School. Barbara later attended East Texas State College in Commerce. She married Larry Forsyth on February 23, 1982 in Rockwall. They made their home in Rowlett until moving to Golden in 1985. Barbara was employed by People’s Telephone as a dispatcher. After retiring, she and Larry moved to Edgewood. Barbara was a member of Golden United Methodist Church and later became a member of Cheatham Memorial United Methodist Church in Edgewood. She enjoyed playing games and reading and loved to watch the grandkids play any type of ball.

She is preceded in death by her parents, C.G. and Flora Quillin; husband, Larry Forsyth; brother, Tom Quillin and sister, Glenna Ross.

Barbara is survived by her sisters, Ginger Wiseman of Sanger and Linda Roberts of Norman, OK; daughters, Janet Mosley of Chandler and Kristin Prater and husband Charles of Edgewood; son, John Camper of Chandler; step-sons, Craig Forsyth and wife Connie of Lindale and Barry Forsyth of Grand Prairie; step-daughter, Darla Hernandez and husband Armando of Forney and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
