It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Austin Howard Evans, a cherished son, husband, brother, and friend. Austin departed this world on January 1, 2024, at the age of 33, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and vibrant passion.
Born in Houston, Texas, on September 13, 1990, Austin was the son of Ann Marie Arnold Morris and the late Robert Howard Evans. He spent his formative years in Pearland, where he graduated from high school with a spirit full of ambition and dedication. Inspired by a sense of duty, Austin enlisted in the United States Army, serving as a cavalry scout in Kuwait and Iraq from 2010 to 2013.
Following his military service, Austin found love and companionship with Evelyn Wong Marquez, and they were united in marriage on November 30, 2018. Together, they created a home in Wills Point in 2019, embarking on a journey of shared dreams and aspirations.
Professionally, Austin excelled as a construction project coordinator for Mas Tec, showcasing his commitment and expertise in his field. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Austin was a man of diverse passions, specifically for health, fitness and weightlifting. He reveled in the exhilaration of performance cars, motorcycles, and the meticulous craft of rebuilding his cherished Audi. A culinary enthusiast, Austin found joy in the art of cooking, and his heart was particularly warmed by the time spent with his beloved mother.
Austin is survived by his devoted wife, Evelyn Evans, of Wills Point, Texas; his mother, Ann Marie Morris, and her husband, Brent, of Midlothian, Texas; his sisters, Houstyn Evans, Jennifer Evans, and Dalice Evans, all of Houston, Texas; as well as his beloved dogs, Cookie, Rowdy and Wallie.
In addition to his immediate family, Austin leaves behind a host of friends and colleagues who will forever be touched by his kindness, dedication, and zest for life.
He is preceded in death by his biological father, Robert Evans, whose memory Austin now joins.
