Amy Jean Mushrush

Amy Mushrush, 48, of Wills Point, TX, formerly of Escondido, CA, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, in Longview, TX.

Amy Jean Mushrush was born on May 4, 1977, in Escondido, CA, to James Nicholas Mushrush and Gloria Jean Knight Mushrush. She was raised in Escondido and graduated from Orange Glenn High School with the class of 1995. Amy later attended the Palomar Institute of Cosmetology.

For the past five years, she had made her home in Wills Point after reuniting with her high school sweetheart, Chris Reeves. She worked in hotel housekeeping and grocery. She was employed at the  Wills Point Brookshires before her passing. Amy cherished the simple joys of life—attending church with Chris, cooking for friends, and caring for her beloved animals, Chaos, Havoc and Mayhem. Amy was an avid Chicago Bears fan who loved cheering on her team.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Mushrush.

Amy is survived by her partner, Christopher Reeves of Wills Point, TX; her mother, Gloria Mushrush of California; brother, Jeremy Mushrush of Ft. Collins, Co; sister, Kim Mardis of California  and her nephews, Nicholas and Dillon Mushrush of Grand Junction, CO.

Arrangements were under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.
