It is with profound sadness that we acknowledge the passing of our beloved husband, brother, uncle and friend.  Phillip Hoedebeck passed away on Wednesday, September 1st, at the age of 59 after a seven year battle with cancer.  Phillip, along with his loving wife, Jill, fought courageously and humbly.

A memorial service for Phillip, of Edgewood, TX, is scheduled for 11:00 am, Thursday, September 9th, 2021, at Heitt’s Lybrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Keith Goodson officiating.

Phillip was born in Dallas, Texas on March 3, 1962, to Norbert William and Marie Louise Hoedebeck.  He was the youngest son of 11 children and was preceded in death by his father Norbert, his sister Carolyn and brothers Andy, Johnny and Tommy.

Phillip is survived by his wife Jill of 30 years, his mother Marie Hoedebeck, brothers J.R. Hoedebeck and wife Marcia, Randy Hoedebeck and wife Carolyn, sisters Jan Wilson and husband Robert, Nina Hayes, Rosemary Salinas and husband Frank, Kimberley Burns and husband Gene.  Also surviving is Bettie Lisby (mother-in-law), Carolyn Hoedebeck (sister-in-law), Renee Phillips (sister-in-law) and Kevin Lisby (brother-in-law).  Phillip has always had had a special relationship with his 26 nieces and nephews.

As a boy and later as a man, Phillip spent a lifetime in the construction business.  He became a master carpenter owning and operating APH Construction.  Phillip's superior work ethic kept him working continuously; his booming laughter, open and out-going personality, welcoming presence, giving and humble nature and his honesty earned him the love and respect of the people he worked for, his employees, his family and especially the multitude of friends he leaves behind.
