Memorial services for Aletha “Diane” Fink, 62, of Grand Saline, TX, are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Caney Creek Cowboy Church: 1144 VZCR 1806, Grand Saline, TX 75140. Services are under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point, TX.
Diane passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020, in Dallas, TX.
Aletha Diane Cook was born on December 19, 1957, in Dallas, TX, to parents, Walter Eugene Cook and Jewel Ann Glover Cook. She was raised in Lewisville, TX, and attended Lewisville Independent School District. Diane married Michael Paul Fink on April 21, 1990, in Terrell, TX, and they lived in Kaufman County before making their home in Grand Saline, TX. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Diane was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 1997. In April of 2020, she underwent a stem cell transplant and was recently declared cancer free. She was a member of Caney Creek Cowboy Church. Diane enjoyed gardening, shopping and spending time with family.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Jewel “Judy” Cook and sister, Leslie Kaye Cook.
Diane is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Mike Fink of Grand Saline, TX; father, Walter Cook of Fruitvale, TX; daughters, Melissa Burns and husband, Jon of Grand Saline, TX, and Jessica Sherman and husband, Danny of Heartland, TX; brother, Bud Cook and wife, Danica of Grand Saline, TX; sister, Doris Stephens and husband, Rick of Denton, TX; grandchildren, Colten Cox and girlfriend, Hailey Stancomb, Chanse Horn, Cutter Cox, Madison Horn and Aubree Burns; along with many nieces and nephews, family and friends.
