Aleksander Goldberg passed away on July 29th, at the age of 75, in his home surrounded by family. Private family services will be held in the care of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point, TX.
Alek was born on January 1, 1946 in Szebiekino, Russia. He was raised in Poland where he graduated from high school. After high school, he joined the Polish Army and served his country for 2 years. At that time, he was the fastest swimmer in the Army. Alek married Helena Sulek in Poland on March 27, 1970. Together they moved to the United States in 1971 in hopes of creating a better life for their family. They settled in Lancaster, Texas for 41 years, where they raised their three children. Alek was employed as a supervisor at Brass Craft for 47 years. Shortly after retirement, he and Helena moved to Terrell in 2018 to live near their grown children and grandchildren. Aleksander loved to golf, hunt, fish, camp, and travel. He enjoyed being close to his grandchildren and watching them in their various activities.
Aleksander is preceded in death by his parents, Chaima Goldberg and Maria Stefanowna Goldberg.
Aleksander is survived by his brother and two sisters. He is also survived by his wife of 51 years, Helena Goldberg, his son Robert and wife Elizabeth of Danbury, his son Roger and wife Jill of Terrell, his daughter Katrina Navratil of Terrell, and 3 grandchildren: Ryann and Ian Goldberg and Christian Navratil.
