William Keith Erwin, 79, of Edgewood, passed away June 13, 2019, in Tyler, TX. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Highland Baptist Church in Wills Point. Services are under direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.
Keith was born August 30, 1939, in Fruitvale, TX. He was a lifelong resident of the Edgewood and Fruitvale areas and graduated from Edgewood High School. During his adolescent years he attended the Church of Christ in Edgewood. He married Mary Johnson December 25, 1970, and they made their home in Edgewood. Keith worked as a construction carpenter and was recognized in the published magazine “This Old House”, while working in Highland Park, TX. He enjoyed playing dominos and solitare and recreation on Lake Tawakoni.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George William Erwin and Willie Christene Hendrix and grandson, Kyle Huffman.
Keith is survived by his wife, Mary Johnson Erwin of Edgewood; sons, Marty Jones of Edgewood, Brody Erwin of Corsicana, Brandon Erwin of Sulphur Springs and Quince Erwin and wife Holly, of Myrtle Springs; daughters, Tressa Hardin and husband David, of Neches, Christi Jones of Edgewood; sister, Pattye Tadlock and husband Russell, of Forney; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
