Funeral services for Weima Dove, 87, of Edgewood, TX, are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 7, 2019, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Burial will follow at White Rose Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.
Weima passed away Monday, September 2, 2019.
Weima DeArman was born on April 11, 1932, in Whitney, TX, to parents, John Samuel DeArman and Elva Ellis Baird DeArman. She was raised in Whitney and attended Navarro High School in Corsicana, later obtaining her G.E.D. Weima married Henry E. Dove on September 10, 1949, and they spent sixty-four wonderful years together. They made their home in Edgewood and have been in the community since 1981. She was an assembly and machine operator for Western Electric in Mesquite for many years before retiring in 1990. Weima was a member of Cheatham Memorial United Methodist Church in Edgewood. She loved birds, watching and feeding them and liked to drink Dr. Pepper. Weima also enjoyed quilting, crocheting and walking in the park. She was a wonderful cook and loved to bake all kinds of different desserts. Weima was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, and wife and will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Elva DeArman; husband, Henry E. Dove and two sisters, Claudia and Eunice.
Weima is survived by two daughters, Gwendolyn Dove of Royse City, TX, and Sherry Ann Mallard of Rockwall, TX; one granddaughter, Jessica Lindemood and husband, Joe of Midland, TX, and two great grandchildren, Bennett and Eleanor Lindemood of Midland, TX.
