Valta R. Griffith

A memorial service for Valta Griffith will be held at McIver Chapel at Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at 11:30 AM.

Graveside services for Valta Griffith, 84, formerly of Wills Point, were held Monday, August 13, 2018, at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.  Services are under direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home. A memorial service for friends and family will be planned for September in Dallas.

Valta passed away August 10, 2018, in Richardson, TX.

Valta Canning Griffith was born May 21, 1934, to the late Albert Harry Canning and Jimmie Eveliene Stephens Canning. She married Ralph E. Griffith in Oklahoma City, OK on June 2, 1953 and he preceded her in death in 2003.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ralph E. Griffith.

Valta is survived by two sons, R. Gordon Griffith and wife Kristen, of Garland and Craig E. Griffith and wife Davelyn, of Midland; daughter, Marvella Griffith McElya and husband, Martin of dallas; grandchildren, Brittany Griffith, Ryan Griffith, Whitney Griffith, Andrea Griffith, Alyssa McElya, Addison McElya and Alexander McElya.
