Troy Allen Russ, 33, of Edgewood, TX, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at his home.

Troy Allen Russ was born on December 4, 1985, in Walnut Creek, California, to parents, Karl Vincent Russ and Lisa Mary Hommes. He was raised in raised in California until the age of two when his family moved to Minnesota. Troy married Meranda Backstrom. She preceded him in death in 2017. Troy worked in the construction industry. He enjoyed video gaming.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Meranda Backstrom Russ.

Troy is survived by his father, Karl Russ and girlfriend, Michele Davey of Edgewood, TX; mother, Lisa Meyers of Anoka, MN; son, Gabriel Backstrom Russ of Hibbing, MN; step-daughters, Dakota Backstrom and Delila Backstrom of Hibbing, MN; brothers, Jonathan Russ of Hibbing, MN and Nathanial Russ of Chattanooga, TN; sisters, Kristine Russ of Fridley, MN, Kimi Russ of Anoka, MN and Heaven Wissman of Chisolm, MN; grandparents, Vincent Russ of Hibbing, MN and Jo Anne Stewart and husband, Hubert of Anna, TX and Richard Hommes of Livermore, CA.
