Speedy Eugene Meister

Memorial services for Speedy Eugene Meister, 71, of Edgewood, are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Hiett's LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point with visitation one hour prior to service time.

Speedy Eugene Meister was born September 12, 1946, in Gilmer, TX to parents, Charles Raymond Meister and Estell Powell Meister. He lived in Gilmer until the age of 7, then moved to East Dallas and graduated from Mesquite High School. Speedy married Ginger Graham and they had two children, Jeff and Stephanie. He later married Bonnie Pugh and she preceded him in death. Speedy married Judy Musick in Edgewood on May 27, 2010. Speedy was an electrical salesman and retired from Rexell Electric in 2014. Speedy attended New Journey Church of God. His hobbies included golf, working on his MG and playing and watching all sports.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Estell Meister, as well as, wife, Bonnie Meister and brothers, Alton Meister and Ronnie Meister.

Speedy is survived by his wife, Judy Meister of Edgewood; son, Jeff Meister and wife, Darla, of Cedar Creek; daughter, Stephanie Foster and husband, Daniel, of Houston; brother, Herbert Meister and wife, Gwen, of Edgewood; sister, Estella Orear of Mesquite; sister-in-law, Pauline Meister; step-children, Danny Pugh of Alabama, Jana Pugh of Frisco, Sheila Pendleton and husband, Jay, of Wills Point, Tracy Tidwell and husband, Dean of Canton and Jessie Daulton and wife, Jenna, of Bedford, KY; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
