Shirley Kay Burns, 53, of Edgewood, TX, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019, at her home.

Shirley was born August 4, 1966, in Dallas, Texas to Charlotte Ann Wallace. She was raised in Dallas and graduated from Athens High School. Shirley later attended Athens High School. She was a cashier for Walmart Superstore in Canton and had lived in Edgewood for the past four years. Shirley was of the Baptist faith. She had a big heart for animals and especially for cats.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Ann Chapman.

Shirley is survived by her son, Brandon; daughter, Brittany and cousin, Larry Grisham and wife, Judy of Garland.
