Patsy Ruth Nelson

Funeral services for Patsy Ruth Nelson, 84, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Friday, March 1, 2019, at the Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery.

Patsy passed away February 24, 2019.

Patsy Ruth Rinks was born October 6, 1934, in Van Zandt County, TX, to parents, Bryan and Lillie May Wallace Rinks. She was raised in Wills Point and graduated high school. Patsy married Homer Edgar Nelson on February 15, 1952, in Wills Point. She worked for Wills Point Independent School District, later worked for JC Penney as a sales associate and at Champion Bag, both in Terrell. Patsy attended the Church of Christ in Wills Point. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bryan and Lillie Rinks; husband, Homer Nelson; son, Homer Nelson, Jr.; grandson, Bryan Nelson; brother, Bryan Rinks, Jr.; aunt, Roxie Rinks.

Patsy is survived by her son, James Nelson and wife, Janie of Terrell; grandchildren, Matt Nelson, Jessie Nelson, Kelli Nelson and Traci Foster; great grandchildren, Blayne Clower, Amrie Clower and Kyler Shaw.
