Patricia Stella Gedrin

A memorial service for Patricia “Pat” S. Gedrin, 75, of Wills Point, is scheduled for 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 25, 2019, at St. Luke Catholic Church in Wills Point. Services are under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.

Pat passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at her home.

Patricia Stella Gedrin was born September 6, 1943, in Nashua, New Hampshire, to parents, Benjamin Joseph Gedrin and Helen Joan Greene. She was raised in New York and graduated from St. Pascal Baylon Catholic High School in St. Albans, NY. Pat also attended Rivier College and Oklahoma University where she received a P.H.D. in English. She began her Navy career in March 1963. Pat was a WAVE Journalist First Class for the Navy and retired as Senior Chief in 1985. Pat was a member of the Wills Point Community since the year 2000 and was the owner and operator of Aunt Pat’s Kitchen in Grand Saline. Pat was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading and loved her fur babies, Patch, Dixie and Rocky.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Helen Gedrin; brother, Stephen Gedrin and close friend, Donna Srogi.   

Pat is survived by her nephews, Kevin Wade Srogi of Wills Point, TX and Win Srogi in Chesterfield, IN; nieces, Tonia Cooksy of Wills Point, TX and Megan Garland of Rockwall, TX; sisters, Helen Lahey of Bayside, NY and Joanne Graves of Deer Park, NY; brother, Tommy McTierney of Long Island, NY; along with numerous great nieces and nephews and many great-great nieces and nephews.
