Mary “Carol” Solley, 78, of Wills Point, TX, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2019, at her home. She was born on March 16, 1941, in Denison, TX, to parents, Jimmie Lee Whitfield and Bessie Mae Horner Whitfield. Carol was raised in Denison and attended Denison High School before obtaining her G.E.D. Shortly after she attended a Business College. Carol married James Solley on August 8, 1959, in Cass, TX, and they have lived in Wills Point for the last twenty-two years. She was a loving wife and homemaker, enjoyed spending time with her family and playing slots and eating crab legs at Diamond Jack’s Casino.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie and Bessie Mae Whitfield and her daughter, Karen Forester.
Carol is survived by her husband, Jim Solley of Wills Point, TX; son, James Solley and wife, Meagan of Atlanta, TX; daughter, Deanna Peoples and husband, Gary of Wills Point, TX; sisters, Doris Lance of Denison, TX, and Jimmie Mae Jordan of Rockwall, TX; son-in-law, Rick Forester of Wills Point; grandchildren, Josh Peoples, Noah Forester, Maria Forester, Connie Cohen, Mari Peoples and Madi Forester, all of Wills Point, TX, and great grandchildren, Savi Moreno and Wyatt Cohen, both of Wills Point, TX.
