Mary Elizabeth (Jarosh) Hair

Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Hair, 100, of Seagoville, TX, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.

Mary passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019.

Mary Elizabeth Jarosh was born September 8, 1918, in Wills Point, TX, to parents, John Emmanuel Jarosh and Minnie Valentine Jarosh. She was raised in Wills Point where she attended school. Mary married Gillard C. Hair on March 31, 1934, and they moved to Dallas to raise their family. He preceded her in death in 1982. Mary was employed by Tom Thumb and retired after thirty-six years. In 1995, Mary moved to Streetman, TX to live with her daughter and son-in-law where she was a member of First Baptist Church of St. Elmo in Streetman. She loved to sew, crochet, needle point, cook, bake and play the game “Sorry” with her great grandkids. She was better known as “Nanny” by her many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.  

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gillard C. Hair; parents, John and Minnie Jarosh; step-mother, Grace Nixon Jarosh; infant children, Johnny Colquit Hair and Melba Joyce Hair; son, Kenneth D. Hair and his wife, Barbara Hair; son-in-law, Marvin Clack; brothers, Shaw Eiland and Johnny Jarosh, Jr.; grandson, Ronnie Hair.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Janet Clack of Seagoville; honorary daughter, June Lindsay; grandchildren, Sharon Mendoza and husband Ted, Donna Gutierrez and husband Ozzy, Kim Jackson and husband Lance, Larry Clack and wife Melannie, Marianne Arnold and wife Bill, Wessley Prows and granddaughter-in-law, Jan Hair; great grandchildren, Kelli, Ryan, Jillian, Caden, Mitchell, Jake, Allie, Justin, Tiffany, Tristan, Grace and many great-great grandchildren.
