Louise Anita Bird Stogsdill

A memorial service for Anita Bird Stogsdill of Kingston, Oklahoma, formerly of Edgewood, Texas will be held at Pleasant Union Baptist Church in Edgewood, Texas on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at 2:00 PM with Bro. Glen Goodson officiating.

She was in Four Seasons Rehab Center in Durant, Oklahoma and on September 20, 2017 Anita took God’s hand and went to her heavenly home at the young age of 46.  She fought a hard battle against cancer never losing faith in her Saviour and was always posting Christian quotes to encourage others.  She loved her precious baby dog Rocky and was so happy that he could come visit her when she was in the hospital and rehab center.

She was born in Dallas, Texas on January 2, 1971 to Robert and Eulane Bird.  She grew up in Terrell, Texas, Wills Point, Texas, and Edgewood, Texas.  She married David Stogsdill on November 10, 2005 and they made their home in McKinney, Texas later moving to Oklahoma.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Bobby and David Bird, maternal grandparents, Lennon and Thelma Brady, paternal grandparents, LA Bird, and Veda and Jimmy Henson, an uncle, Billy Mitchell, an Aunt Linda McCord, and a cousin Rhonda Nelson.

She is survived by her husband David, daughter, Connie Tittle, son, Scott Tittle, sister, Lisa Laney (Brett), sister-in-law’s, Melanie Bird, Lisa McDanel (Glen), Debra Howard (Paul), aunts, Sue Barker (Roland), Charlotte Mitchell, uncles, Ed Brady (Barbara), Pete Bird (Louaine), Lonnie Bird, brother-in-law, JD McDaniel, Jr., Mike Stogsdill, father-in-law, Earl Stogsdill, step-father-in law, J D McDaniel,  and great aunt Oleta Harvey.  Also, she will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends

In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Cancer Society in Memory of Anita Stogsdill.

Burial will be in Emory, Texas  at the Forbes Cemetery in a private ceremony.
