Judy Ann Hairston

Graveside services for Judy Hairston, 73, of Terrell, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at College Mound Cemetery in Terrell.  Services are under direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Judy passed away November 23, 2019, at her home in Terrell.

Judy Ann Hairston was born November 23, 1946, to the late Ed Henry and Odie Lee Runnels Henry.  She was born and raised in Corsicana, until she moved to Pleasant Grove in Dallas, where she graduated from W.W. Samuel High School.  Judy married the love of her life Jim Hairston in Las Vegas in 1973.  They made their home in Mesquite, where they raised their two sons, Shannon and Shane. She was employed for over forty years as a phlebotomist for Charter Suburban Hospital and Mesquite Community Hospital.  She retired and enjoyed spending time with her family, gambling, Dr. Pepper and a good cigarette.

Judy is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Hairston and a son, Shane Hairston.

She is survived by her son, Shannon Hairston of Terrell; brother, Eddie Henry of Union Valley; and grandchildren, Calvin Hairston, Crystal Hairston, Devin Hairston, Dalton Hairston, and Caleb Hairston; great grandchildren, Tyson, Brady and Calvin.
