Jay Thomas Nichols

Funeral services for Jay Thomas Nichols, 27, of Dallas, are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Friday, June 30, 2017, at Robinwood Baptist Church in Seagoville, TX.  Burial will follow at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park in Balch Springs, TX.  Services are under direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point, TX.

Jay Thomas Nichols was born July 19, 1989 in Dallas, TX, to A.J. Nichols, Jr. and Kristine Jean Flowers Holt.  Jay was raised in Dallas and graduated from Seagoville High School. Jay worked in construction and just recently started his own concrete business.  He met Lucy Basulto and they spent the last five years together raising two children. Jay was of the Baptist faith.  He loved spending time with his family and children, fishing and MMA fighting.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, A.J. Nichols Sr. and Wanda Nichols.

Jay is survived by his mother and step-father, Kristine and Jimmy Holt of Forney; father and step-mother, A.J. and Debbie Nichols of Tyler; girlfriend, Lucy Basluto of Dallas; children, Julian Nichols and Nayeli Nichols; brothers, Ryan Blasingame of Forney and Zachary Holt of Rockwall; sisters, Robyn Nichols of Forney and Arlene Holt of Irving; grandparents, Billy and Norma Flowers of Dallas; step-sister, Lacy Oldham and step-brother, Dillon Oldham of Dallas; and many other relatives and friends.

Family visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 Pm, Thursday evening at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point, TX.
