James "Jim" Roy Solley

James (Jim) Roy Solley, Sr age 79, of Wills Point, Texas went to be with his wife Carol and the Lord, on November 28, 2019.

Jim was born January 29, 1940, in Cass, Texas to Elbert and Ola Solley. He was retired from Kraft Foods.  Jim served in the Army and National Guard from 1958 through 1966. Jim loved to visit and never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Mary Carolyn Solley, daughter Karen Solley Forester, his parents, Elbert and Ola Solley; three brothers, Elton Solley, Leonard Solley, William Solley; four sisters, Hazel Ballard, Evelyn Parchman, Nell Bishop and Laverne Endsley.

He is survived by his son James Solley and his wife Meagan of Atlanta, Texas; daughter, Deanna Peoples, her husband Gary and their two children Josh and Mari of Wills Point, Texas; his brother Tommy Solley and his wife Carla of Doddridge, Arkansas; his sister Helen Wilbanks of Cass, Texas; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous other relatives.   A very special heartfelt thanks to Joyce Story of Hospice of East Texas for her loving care.
