Glenda "Sue" Mason

Funeral services for Glenda “Sue” Mason, 71, of Edgewood, are scheduled for 11:00 am, Saturday, October 5, 2019, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Edgewood.  Burial will follow at Small Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.

Sue passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019.

Glenda Sue Eaton was born on December 11, 1947, in Edgewood, Texas, to parents Joe Louis Eaton and Theresa Onita McDonald Eaton. She was raised in Dallas and graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School. Sue raised her children in Dallas until moving to Edgewood in 1982, to make her home. She worked for Southwestern Bell for thirty-six years as a phone operator and retired with AT&T. Sue was also employed with Best Western in Canton as a night auditor for eleven years. She was of the Baptist faith. Sue loved watching mystery shows, enjoyed reading, spending time with family and shopping.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Theresa Eaton; son, Joseph Mason; sister, Pansy Anita Williams.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Vicki Smith and husband, Paul “Scooter” Smith of Edgewood; grandchildren, Jeffery Mason and wife, Tiffani of Edgewood and Trent Smith of Edgewood; great grandchildren, Cannon Mason, Brynlee Mason and Deegan Mason.
